📍 Location: 2021 Midwest Road Ste 110, Oak Brook, IL, 60523
DUTIES
- Hire, train, and provide oversight to 12 project managers working on different aspects of commercial and residential interior and exterior full and partial renovation projects in various stages of completion to ensure timely, on budget, and complete renovation projects;
- Working with the project managers, develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation;
- Develop bids for prospective projects;
- Conduct regular inspections of the project in progress to verify compliance with contract specification and to ensure project compliance with all applicable codes and regulations including building codes, zoning laws, labor laws, OSHA, and HOA regulations;
- Review and approve project planning schedules and address issues that may prevent a project from meeting benchmark deadlines;
- Review and make decisions on contractor and subcontractor change orders and liaise with client to obtain approvals for changes and associated costs;
- Proactively address delays and client complaints and implement corrective actions;
- Develop bid proposals, project budgets, project progress reports, and project financial reports;
- Track project costs, identify and implement cost-saving measures, and address the causes of cost overruns;
- Negotiate changes to initial contracts with clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and outside consultants;
- Develop and implement quality control measures to be followed on the job sites;
- Willing to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions-up to 60% of time is spent on job sites, or traveling between job sites;
- 50-60% Travel To Job Sites Within 60 Mile Radius Of Oak Brook, IL
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Or Architecture
- 2 years of experience in the following:
- Management and coordination of activities of project teams across simultaneously operating construction projects
- Planning, coordination and supervision, start to finish, of commercial and residential construction projects involving both full interior renovation and exterior renovation
- Preparation of bid submissions and budgets, budget tracking, and reviewing and approving expenditures for commercial and residential construction projects
- Review and negotiation of contract revisions for commercial and residential construction projects
- Assessing compliance with building codes and contract specifications
- Must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of commercial and residential building codes which will be assessed in the interview
- Proficiency in JobNimbus or similar project management software, as demonstrated by at least 6 months experience of use in a workplace setting
- Willing to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions-up to 60% of time is spent on job sites, or traveling between job sites
- Duties require applicant to drive to sites within 60-mile radius of Oak Brook, IL
- Driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
